			The Heritage Committee was created in 2007 and has been active in building a collection of Association information to promote and preserve the practice of engineering and geoscience in Manitoba since then. One of the first tasks of the committee was to assist a graphic designer in the creation of a signature welcome display at the current office location on Pembina Highway. The committee initially published heritage information on an ad-hoc basis in the Keystone Professional. It was sometime after that the concept of publishing and hosting content on a wiki-pedia site was envisioned.
			<br> <br>
			The Heritage Committee began a new journey in late 2017. With the 100th Anniversary of the Association coming in 2020, a plan was created to assemble a collection of articles worthy of publishing in a hard copy book to commemorate the event. The undertaking was very ambitious and began with enthusiasm and spirit. It was envisioned that the book would be part of a collection of celebratory deliverables and events scheduled for the 100 year. However, not all plans are robust enough to deal with various unforeseen events. The pandemic paused many activities and resulted in changed priorities for many including the volunteers on this task force. The concept of a hard copy centennial book is fading but there is realistic goals to publish the content on the wiki site in both an encyclopedia format as well as the format as was originally envisioned for a hard copy book.

			The following articles are what was thought to be a good concept for a book and may still become one but in the interim here is the content. These articles are published to seek feedback and encourage more content as we continue to share information about the Association.
